Dr Ian Micabalo, tDPT, OCS , FAAOMPT, Dip Osteopractic CPI   is one of NYC 's most highly credentialled PT  with almost 20 years in experience having practiced in three continents (Asia, Australia and the Americas) and has been offering patients pain relief and rehabilitation for a wide range of musculoskeletal issues – from lumbar back pain, post-ACL surgery rehab to complicated postoperative cases.

Offering an evidenced-based practice that incorporates bio-psychosocial aspects of rehabilitation, Core Work Physical Therapy’s extensive and eclectic offerings include Pain Science, Active Release Techniques, Trager, PNF, CST, Myofascial release, Therapeutic Massage, Yoga Therapeutics, The Pilates Method, Exercise Therapy, Spinal Manipulation (thrust and non-thrust techniques), and Neuromuscular re-education, Dry Needling , McKenzie , MWM and others. 

Dr. Micabalo always addresses the underlying problem causing a patient’s symptoms rather than just the symptoms. He’s helped countless patients throughout New York City as well as the Philippines and Australia with a wide range of issues.

He holds advanced postgraduate credentials in Muskuloskeletal Therapy, Spinal Manipulative Therapy (Cert.SMT) and Dry Needling (Cert. DN) through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy and earned the distinguished Diploma in Osteopractic Therapy. He is a Fellow of the prestigious American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (AAOMPT)  and is a Board Certified Orthopedic Physical Therapist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specializations (ABPTS). He lectures locally and internationally on Pilates, OMPT and evidence-based PT practices. 

He has been a keynote speaker on the current concepts of Manual Therapy in the first Philippine Orthopedic Manual Physical therapy Convention and is the founder of the Philippines first Pilates-based rehabilitation studio in Davao in 2002.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Ian Micabalo works with children with developmental disabilities utilizing the elements of developmental , execusensory and neuroplasticity approach in learning and motor planning in the school environment and is an avid and trained  dancer and enjoys martial arts like boxing, kickboxing, and fitness
